TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

Prior to beginning her legal career, Mrs. Pace developed software for radar equipment for Electrospace, now Raytheon, in Richardson, Texas, for pharmaceutical equipment for McKesson Corporation in Carrollton, Texas, as well for accounting equipment for Solvay, Inc., in Brussels, Belgium.



PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

Mrs. Pace's experience includes preparing and prosecuting patents for such marquee technology companies as Intel, IBM and Nortel Networks. Mrs. Pace has negotiated and drafted patent licensing agreements, prepared and prosecuted multiple trademark applications, and participated in patent reexaminations. She also has patent litigation experience in the Northern District of California, District of Oregon, Western District of Washington, District of Colorado, Northern District of Illinois, Western District of Wisconsin, the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, District of Delaware, Middle District of Florida, Northern District of Georgia, District of Massachusetts, Southern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Complementing Mrs. Pace's experience in intellectual property litigation is her work in federal civil rights law, where she has participated in litigation and successfully resolved a number of cases as lead attorney in mediation. Mrs. Pace also volunteers each year at Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas to assist members of the community in need.


EDUCATION

Mrs. Pace holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a hybrid of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where Mrs. Pace served as President of the Intellectual Property Organization, won Best Oral Advocate at the Giles Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court, and was admitted as a Student Member of the William Taylor American Inn of Court in Dallas.
